Shipping and Returns
At Select Home Accents, we take pride in our Free Shipping Policy. As such, we will make every effort to fulfill your order based on our standard free shipping policy to both Canadian and U.S destinations.
We do not charge for standard shipping on almost everything we sell. No processing or handling fees. No boarder hassles, duties or custom brokerage fees for items shipped within Canada. Free standard ground shipments require 5-14 business days to arrive to thier destination from date of pick-up. Depending on product availability and status, items may take up to 12 weeks for delivery. Please see delivery lead times for more information.
Occasionally, there is a need to apply a reasonable shipping fee to products that are considered oversized or that require special handling such as large furniture pieces, large rugs or large glass or mirrored items. An additional surcharge may also apply for deliveries to remote areas.
Rest assured that prior to processing an order that requires a shipping surcharge, be it for oversized items or for delivery to a remote area, we will contact you via e-mail to advise of the required associated fees. Once we receive your e-mail authorization accepting the shipping fee, we will proceed in processing your order. Should you disagree with the associated shipping fees, simply advise us not to proceed and we will give you a full refund for your purchase.
Select Home Accents utilizes a variety of shipping companies and freight forwarders. The shipper we employ depends on the size, content and final destination of the package being shipped.
Our in stock items are stored in a variety of warehouses. As such, an in-stock item may take up to 7 business days to leave a warehouse. If items sell faster than anticipated replenishing of stock will be required. In such instances, delivery lead times will vary.
Special order items may take 6 to 12 weeks to fulfill. We will inform you if at any point in the order fulfillment process, a delivery time is suspected to surpass 12 weeks. Items may ship from different warehouses and as a result, individual items may ship separately.
All delivery and lead times are estimates only and are quoted in business days. This does not include weekends and statutory holidays and are subject to change without notice. Shipping and lead times are not guaranteed.
Select Home Accents will not be held liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense related to any delay in shipment and delivery.
Please feel free to contact us at email@example.com to inquire about lead times for a specific item prior to placing your order should you require an order by a specific date. Expedited shipping is available upon request- shipping fees will apply to expedited orders.
On occasion, it is possible that an item may be out-of-stock. If this should occur, you will be contacted and have the option of either keeping the order as placed, or, to adjust your order to exclude the backordered item.
We offer free ground shipping to most destinations in the U.S.A. Orders shipped to the United States of America are subject to customs fees (taxes, duties, processing fees, brokerage fees, etc.) at Canadian/US customs. Please be advised we have absolutely no control over these fees and as such cannot estimate them for you in advance. If you are not familiar with current customs fees or cross-border shipping fees, please check with you local customs office or broker for more information. We cannot issue refunds for customs fees, shipping or the cost of your order should you dispute the customs fees against your order. Additional charges will be applicable for deliveries to remote locations, for oversized items and for items requiring special handling.
For international shipments outside Canada and the U.S.A please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to send you a quote for initial shipping costs.
Should you choose to cancel your order for any reason, you may do so by contacting our customer service team at email@example.com within 24 hours of the original order being placed. That is, 24 hours from the time of checkout. The order may be cancelled for any reason provided, however, that it has not yet been processed or in queue to be shipped. If the order has been processed, and should you still decide to cancel, the returned items will then be subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee.
All on sale items, special order items and international shipments are final sale and not eligible for return.
To return an item, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org within 48 hours of receipt of delivered items. If applicable, we will then proceed to send you via e-mail a return merchandise authorization number. With a confirmed return authorization number you may return your unopened, unused unassembled item. Items may not be damaged in anyway and must be in perfect re-sellable condition. Items must be securely packaged in original packaging. Once we receive the returned merchandise in good condition, your refund will be processed. Please note that shipping charges, both outgoing and inbound, will be deducted from your refund.
